The Art of Pichvai at Mall Galleries in London

Padmaja was honored to join a thought-provoking conversation on the legacy of Pichvai, alongside art revivalist and founder of Pichvai Tradition & Beyond, Pooja Singhal, and moderator Divia Thani, Global Editorial Director of Conde Nast Traveler on July 4th at Mall Galleries in London.

Pichvai, a 400-year-old sacred art form rooted in devotion to Lord Krishna, continues to captivate through its intricate storytelling and timeless beauty. Drawing from the House of Mewar’s centuries-old connection to the sacred town of Nathdwara, Padmaja shared insights on preserving cultural heritage through living traditions like Pichvai.

Congratulations to Pooja and all involved on the incredible success of the stunning exhibition ‘Feast, Melody, and Adornment: The Art of Pichvai’ at Mall Galleries in London, showcasing over 500 hand-painted Pichvai works spanning the last century.
