Udaipur Type 1 Diabetes Summit

Since 2023, Friends of Mewar has proudly hosted an annual Type 1 Diabetes Summit in Udaipur. What began as an intimate gathering of individuals with lived experience, healthcare professionals, and passionate advocates has grown into a global platform for high-level dialogue, impactful collaboration, and cross-sector action.

An initiative born out of a shared determination to create lasting change, the summit has become a vital space where individuals with T1D, their families, doctors, educators, and policymakers untie to confront the challenges of T1D head-on. From breaking down stigma to advocating for equitable access to insulin, the summit amplifies voices that are too often unheard while moving us closer to a world where everyone affected by T1D and other non-communicable diseases has the opportunity not just to survive, but to truly thrive.

2025 marks our third annual summit, taking place at the City Palace in Udaipur from July 29th-30th. In collaboration with our global partners, the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Breakthrough T1D, and UNICEF, this gathering will provide a critical opportunity to address ongoing gaps in care, champion community-based solutions, and catalyze sustainable partnerships that center the needs of children and families at the core of our collective mission.
